29 CFR 1926.403(b)(1): Employer did not ensure that electrical equipment is free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a) On or about July 24, 2025, the employer failed to inspect all electrical extension cords used to provide power to electric tools which employees engaged in framing operations were using, in that the red and black extension cord powering the circular saws was damaged. An inspection of these cords was not performed prior to the shift as these cords were not repaired or removed from service. b) On or about July 24, 2025, the employer failed to inspect all electrical cords used to provide power to electric tools which employees engaged in framing operations were using, in that the cord for the circular saw was damaged at the strain relief. An inspection of these cords was not performed prior to the shift as these cords were not repaired or removed from service.
