29 CFR  1910.147(d)(1): Before an authorized or affected employee turns off a machine or equipment, the authorized employee shall have knowledge of the type and magnitude of the energy, the hazards of the energy to be controlled, and the method or means to control the energy.  a) On or about 07/25/2025, in the Elopak and EH Palletizer Area, machine operators are not trained on the type and level of energy associated with the 160 Line ( 160 Conveyor, Elopak, and EH Palletizer), the hazards of the energy, or the proper methods for controlling them before turning off the 160 Line for servicing or maintenance activities, such as unjaming cases or doing end of day clean up by opening the discharge doors and entering the enclosure. Employees are exposed to moving parts hazards in the event of an unexpected startup of the 160 Line.   NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding were not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  a) On or about 07/25/2025,  in the Elopak and EH Palletizer Upper Area, employees were exposed to moving parts hazards when walking between the EH Palletizer and the stairs guardrail.   b) On or about 07/25/2025,  in the Elopak and EH Palletizer Area, employees were exposed to moving parts hazards when the safety switches of the discharge doors for the Elopak and EH Palletizer did not control the 160 Line conveyor. 29 CFR  1910.333(c)(2):29CFR 1910.333(c)(2): Persons who were not qualified worked on electrical circuit parts or equipment that had not been de-energized under the procedures of paragraph (b) of this section. Such persons were not capable of working safely on energized circuits and were not familiar with the proper use of special precautionary techniques, personal protective equipment.  a) On or about 07/25/2025,  in the Elopak and EH Palletizer Area, maintenance employees who were not qualified electrical employees accessed energized electrical panels (480 VAC) to reset the breaker of the 160 Line conveyor system without wearing proper personal protective equipment, such as 00 electrical gloves to prevent exposure to electric shock.   NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
