29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where (a) portable ladder(s) was/were used for access to an upper level landing surface and the ladder's length did not allow the ladder side rails to extend at least 3 feet (0.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed, the ladder was not secured at its top to a rigid support that will not deflect, and/or a grasping device was not provided to assist employees in mounting and dismounting the ladder.   a) On or about July 31, 2025, at jobsite location 20913 St. Andrews Blvd Boca Raton, FL 33496, employees were using a 30 feet aluminum extension ladder that was not secured at its top to a rigid support, upper level or landing exposing employees to a fall hazard.

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):    a) On or about July 31, 2025, at jobsite location 20913 St. Andrews Blvd Boca Raton FL 33496, employees engaged in roofing work at a residential roof with a slope of 4:12 were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 30-feet above ground level without a means of fall protection.  Vargas Construction & Associates, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1685822, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 9/15/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 8110 Clearly Blvd., Plantation, FL 33324.
