1910.132(d)(1) The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards were present, or were likely to be present, which necessitated the use of personal protective equipment:  Festival Fun Parks, LLC dba Lake Compounce in Bristol, CT:  On or about August 11, 2025, the employer had not assessed the hazards of heat exposure for employees performing various duties at the amusement park during times of elevated heat indices. Employees working in positions including, but not limited to ride operators, theatrical support, parking attendance, and entrance gate support were exposed to heat hazards while working outdoors, performing jobs/tasks involving moderate to heavy metabolic activity. The employer did not provide appropriate personal protective equipment in the context of all other measures that were undertaken such as cooling towels/neck wraps or cooling vests.
