29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying objects while using a nail gun.  a) Workplace: On or about August 12, 2025, employees were exposed to eye injuries while using a pneumatic nail gun to install roofing shingles, without the benefit of eye protection.  Reis Construction LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1755629, citation number 001, item number 01(c) and was affirmed as a final order on 4/23/2025, with respect to a workplace located at 190 Winthrop Shore Drive, Winthrop, MA 02152.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employees provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b).  a) Worksite: On or about August 12, 2025, employees were exposed to fall hazards while engaged in residential roofing activities from a height of approximately 17' 11" above the lower level without fall protection.  Reis Construction LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1755629, citation number 001, item number 03(a) and was affirmed as a final order on 4/23/2025, with respect to a workplace located at 190 Winthrop Shore Drive, Winthrop, MA 02152.
