Segelman Shaw Roofing, Siding & Gutters was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1686558, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on September 8th, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 46 Hampton Road in Scarsdale, NY.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing surface to which the ladder is used to gain access: A) 165 Gaylor Road, Scarsdale - NY: Employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 24 1/2-feet while using an extension ladder to access the roof. The extension ladder that was used, was only extended approximately 1 1/2 - feet above the landing and not the required 3-feet, on or about, August 12th, 2025. Segelman Shaw Roofing, Siding & Gutters was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1686558, citation number 2, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on September 8th, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 46 Hampton Road in Scarsdale, NY.
