29 CFR 1915.73(d): When employees were exposed to unguarded edges of decks, platforms, flats, or similar flat surfaces, more than 5 feet above a solid surface, the edges were not guarded by adequate guardrails meeting the requirements of 29 CFR 1915.71(j)(1) and (2). a. On or about August 13, 2025, an employee conducting an inspection on the deck of Scow 43 Barge fell approximately thirteen (13') feet seven (7") inches to the dry dock below due to unguarded deck edges.
