On or about August 19, 2025, at a jobsite located at 900 North 69th Street in Kansas City, Kansas, employees were exposed to respiratory hazards in that the employer did not ensure that respirators used by employees were stored properly to protect from dust and /or chemical contamination. Respirators were observed placed on a moveable cart adjacent to chemicals including but not limited to Maskote Zinc Stop-off coating and Zenalube Moly lubricant which are a serious eye and respiratory irritants.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: On or about August 19, 2025, at a jobsite located at 900 North 69th Street in Kansas City, Kansas, employees were exposed to chemical hazards. Employees engaged in painting and sealing activities were exposed to inhalation hazards in that the employer had not provided employees with information and training on how to recognize, avoid and/or eliminate the hazards associated with chemicals including but not limited to Maskote Zinc Stop-Off coating, a category 1 flammable liquid and serious eye irritant, and Zenalube Moly lubricant, a serious eye and respiratory irritant.
