29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a.) Metaldyne Sintered Ridgway, LLC dba AAM Metal Forming; Forging Department - On or about 8/19/25, and at times prior thereto, the Baldor Grinder and Buffer (serial #X2405027503, model #248-151LT) was not equipped with the bottom belt guard and work rest. Employees used the sanding belt to smooth forged parts. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

Metaldyne Sintered Ridgway, LLC dba AAM Metal Forming; Forging Department , near double disk grinders - On or about 8/19/25, and at times prior thereto, oil was on the floor creating a potential slippery condition for forklifts and pedestrians. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below).
