Fernando Reyes was previously cited for a violation of this occupation safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1703508, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order date on 01/11/2024, with respect to a workplace located at Lot #149 Westshore Drive, Cumming, GA 30040.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b), nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502: a) New residential construction located at 5340 Travels Lane, Cumming, GA 30040, Top Plate: On or about 08/25/2025, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards of approximately 14 feet to the lower ground level, in that a fall protection system was not provided to an employee engaged in framing activities. b) New residential construction located at 5340 Travels Lane, Cumming, GA 30040, Top Plate: On or about 08/25/2025, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards of approximately 10 feet to the lower ground level, in that a unprotected hole was left uncovered during framing operations. 29 CFR 1926.403(b)(1): Employer did not ensure that electrical equipment is free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a) New residential construction located at 5340 Travels Lane, Cumming, GA 30040: On or about 08/25/2025, the employer failed to inspect all electrical extension cords used to provide power to electric tools, in that a 50 ft. yellow electrical cord was damaged and exposing the internal insulated energized wires. An inspection of these cords was not performed prior to the shift as these cords were not repaired or removed from service.
