29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  a) On or about August 26, 2025, at the above addressed jobsite, employees using a air powered nail gun did not wear safety glasses, thereby exposing employees to the hazards associated with eye injuries.  Jovanni Espinoza dba Jovanni Espinoza was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1739506, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on May 13, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 11799 Shalestone Ct., Frankfort, IL 60423.

On or about August 26, 2025, at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing residential roofing operations, approximately eight (8') feet two (2") inches above the ground, were not protected from falls, thereby exposing the employees to fall hazards. On or about August 26, 2025, at the above addressed jobsite, the portable ladder used to access the roof did not extend at least three (3') feet above the upper landing surface, thereby exposing employees to the hazards associated with falls.
