29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) At 9086 Merritt Lane, Williamsburg, Daphne, Alabama: On August 20, 2025; the employer allowed his employees to perform roofing activities without fall protection exposing his employees to a fall hazard of 11 feet 9 inches to the ground below. The Rogelio Alvarenga Nunez dba Rogelio Alvarenga Nunez was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(B)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1619677, citation number 1, item number 1, group B and was affirmed as a final order on October 12, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 27394 Felicity Lane, Lot 10 French Settlement, Daphne, Alabama.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where (a) portable ladder(s) was/were used for access to an upper level landing surface and the ladder's length did not allow the ladder side rails to extend at least 3 feet (0.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) At 9086 Merritt Lane, Williamsburg, Daphne, Alabama: On August 20, 2025; the employer allowed his employees to use an extension ladder to gain access to the roof and the rails of the ladder did not extend at least three feet above the roof landing exposing his employees to a fall hazard of 11 feet 9 inches to the ground below.
