29 CFR 1926.451(c)(1)(iii): Ties, guys, braces, or outriggers were not installed to prevent the tipping of supported scaffolds in all circumstances where an eccentric load, such as a cantilevered work platform, was applied or was transmitted to the scaffold:   a) 8231 Beach Road Chincoteague. On or about August 25, 2025, employees worked from a mobile scaffold to install a ceiling projector.  The scaffold was not tied, braced nor were the outriggers attached exposing employees to falls from scaffold collapse.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1926.454 (a): The employer did not have each employee who performed work on a scaffold be trained by a person qualified in the subject matter to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used, and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards.   a) 8231 Beach Road Chincoteague.
