OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were not protected from the hazard of being struck-by, caught-in, or caught under during material handling operations. Location - Building 4, Research & Development Racking. On or about 8/27/2025, employees were exposed to caught-in between and crushing hazards from rolls of fabric with pieces of metal sticking out on either end. The employer did not ensure that employees utilized material handling equipment, such as powered industrial trucks (PITs), to re-position the fabric rolls during the loading of the rolls onto the storage racking system.
