29 CFR  1910.266(f)(1)(i): The employer did not assure that each machine, including any machine provided by an employee, was maintained in a serviceable condition.  a) Worksite, Prentice 2432 Skidder: On or about 9/4/25, the employer did not ensure that the Prentice 2432 skidder was maintained in serviceable condition, in that the machine had visible defects, including, but not limited to: transparent material being used to enclose the cab was missing, hydraulic hoses were damaged, and one step leading to the cab was damaged.   b) Worksite, John Deere JD 540-A Skidder: On or about 9/4/25, the employer did not ensure that the John Deere JD 540-A skidder was maintained in serviceable condition, in that the machine had visible defects, including, but not limited to: hydraulic hoses were damaged, missing control knobs, tire chains were broken, and the tires of the skidder are worn.
