29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, and rotating parts: a) At the Slitter machine: On or about September 9, 2025, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards, in that the Slitter machine had no machine guarding to prevent employees from reaching in and contacting the in-rolling nip point between the rollers while the machine was in operation.
