29 CFR 1910.269(d)(2)(i): The employer shall establish a program consisting of energy control procedures, employee training, and periodic inspections to ensure that, before any employee performs any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, start up, or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment is isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative. (a)Unit 4 SMT 130 - On or about September 12, 2025, the employer failed to establish an energy control procedures, employee training and periodic inspections prior to allowing employees to perform work on electrical panels and equipment exposing employees to electrical shock hazards.
