29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) On the front side of the house, located at 174 Orkney Rd., Savannah, GA, on or about September 18, 2025, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards in excess of 18 feet, in that a ladder used by employees to access and egress the roof of a residential house to perform roofing work, was not properly adjusted straight and for the side rails to extend at least three feet above the upper landing surface.
