The use of a body belt in a tethering system or in a restraint system is acceptable and is regulated a) On or about September 23, 2025 at 18499 Sussex Highway, Bridgeville, DE 19933 - While driving north on Route 13 CSHO observed employees working from a aerial left without a body belt. The employees then stepped from the basket onto the roof without a body belt. The employees transitioned from the bucket to the roof and back several times.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(2)(i):Each employee who is constructing a leading edge 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Exception: When the employer can demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems, the employer shall develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of 1926.502. a) On or about September 23, 2025 at 18499 Sussex Highway, Bridgeville, DE 19933 - While driving north on Route 13 CSHO observed two employees exposed to a fall hazard working on a low sloped roof without fall protection. Both employees proceeded to work at an elevation of over 14 feet above the ground without fall protection under the direction of the foreman on site.
