29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) On September 29, 2025, employees engaged in framing carpentry work to a newly built residential structure were not protected from fall hazards while working at elevations approximately 23 feet above the ground. b) On September 29, 2025, employees engaged in framing carpentry work on the second story of a newly built residential structure were not protected from fall hazards of unguarded windows and wall openings approximately 15.5 feet above the ground. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
