29 CFR 1926.200(g)(2): The design and use of all traffic control devices, including signs, signals, markings, barricades, and other devices, for protection of construction workers did not conform to Part 6 of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), incorporated by reference at 29 CFR � 1926.6: On or about October 13, 2025, employees were exposed to struck-by-hazards from motor vehicles while performing temporary traffic control operations within active travel lanes of the public roadway Kingshighway near the intersection of Lindell in St. Louis, Missouri. Employees assigned as flaggers were positioned within active traffic lanes without placement of advance warning sign(s) in advance of the flagger stations as required by MUTCD Section 6E.08, which states that, except in emergency situations, flagger stations shall be preceded by advance warning sign or signs.
