29 CFR  1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances, severe cuts or lacerations, severe abrasions, punctures, chemical burns, thermal burns, and harmful temperature extremes.   Maintenance Shop: On November 25, 2025 and at times prior thereto, rubber gloves were not provided for employee use when handling lead-acid batteries. This condition potentially exposed employees to contact with sulfuric acid which can cause burns.

29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1):Types of guarding. One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices, electronic safety devices, etc.  Maintenance Shop: On November 25, 2025 and at times prior thereto, one Grizzly Model G0751 Heavy Duty Drill Press did not have a chuck guard. This condition potentially exposed employees to torso and extremity injuries from flying metal pieces.
