1910.176(a) Use of mechanical equipment. Where mechanical handling equipment is used, sufficient safe clearances shall be allowed for aisles, at loading docks, through doorways and wherever turns or passage must be made. Aisles and passageways shall be kept clear and in good repair, with no obstruction across or in aisles that could create a hazard. Permanent aisles and passageways shall be appropriately marked: A.) Federal Express Corporation, DBA FedEx on or about 12/18/25 and times prior thereto: In the dock area where tuggers and vehicles were operating, sections of the grating covering the drain were missing, exposing employees to trip and fall hazards. B.) Federal Express Corporation, DBA FedEx on or about 12/18/25 and times prior thereto: In the dock area where tuggers and vehicles were operating, sections of the grating covering the drain were able to be displaced with light pressure, exposing employees to trip and fall hazards. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION OR DOCUMENATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1910.145(f)(3): Tags were not used as a means to prevent accidental injury or illness to employees who were exposed to hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions, equipment or operations which were out of the ordinary, unexpected or not readily A.) Federal Express Corporation, DBA FedEx on or about 12/18/25 and times prior thereto: Carts were not tagged or marked with signs to alert employees that they were damaged and cannot be used. Damage includes but is not limited to broken safety latches and missing hooks on the chains used to attach carts to the tugger and/or chain carts together. B.) Federal Express Corporation, DBA FedEx on or about 12/18/25 and times prior thereto: the brake pedal of the Tuggers were missing the rubber grip/anti-slip texture on the face of the pedal. Tuggers include but are not limited to Model PCT-3510-6NXG ST Serial PC1111992. C.) Federal Express Corporation, DBA FedEx on or about 12/18/25 and times prior thereto: tuggers were not tagged or marked with signs to alert employees that they were damaged and cannot be used. Damage includes but is not limited to towing capacity not being on the capacity plate. Tuggers include but are not limited to Model PCT-3510-6NXG ST Serial PC1111992. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation. This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. IN ADDITION, abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic, or video evidence or abatement or other written records.
