29 CFR 1910.1000(a): The employer shall ensure that no employee is exposed to any substance at a level in excess of the exposure limit given for that substance in Table Z-1 of this standard. a) School Campus Adjacent to Carpool B Area; On December 13, 2025, a landscaper utilizing a Billy Goat DL Truck Loader Vacuum was exposed to carbon monoxide(CO) during a 20 minute occupational exposure at a mean calculated 1823.1 ppm CO level (SAE = 0.167). The %COHb in the employee's blood reached a calculated peak level of 24.6%. Atmospheric pressure, height, weight, activity levels, tobacco smoking behavior, and other factors were taken into account. The 8-hour TWA exposure was 76.0 ppm CO ( SAE = 0.116), which is 1.52 times the OSHA PEL of 50 ppm CO.

29 CFR 1910.1000(e): Feasible administrative or engineering controls were not determined and implemented to achieve compliance with the limits prescribed in 29 CFR 1910.1000(a) through (d): a) School Campus Adjacent to Carpool B Area; On December 13, 2025, a landscaper utilizing a Billy Goat DL Truck Loader Vacuum was exposed to carbon monoxide(CO) during a 20 minute occupational exposure at a mean calculated 1823.1 ppm CO level (SAE = 0.167).
