29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): The employer did not ensure one or more methods of machine guarding was provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, in-going nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) On or about December 22, 2025, and days prior, the employer did not protect employees from laceration and amputation hazards by use of appropriate guarding methods on the HOBART bandsaw (Serial # 31150643). The bandsaw was equipped with an extensible guard that had a significant amount of the blade exposed while cutting smaller diameter meat.
