29 CFR 1910.22(a)(3): The employer did not ensure that walking-working surfaces are maintained free of hazards such as sharp or protruding objects, loose boards, corrosion, leaks, spills, snow, and ice: (a) By the wastewater pump, located at 1302 Rome Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34243, on or about 12/22/2025, the employer exposed employees to fall and drowning hazards, in that the floor panels had been removed and covered with wooden pallets while employees were servicing a wastewater pump, leaving an approximately 27 inch wide gap over an approximately 8 foot deep wastewater pit filled with water.
