29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) a) On our about January 5, 2026, at the jobsite located at 501 SE 6th AVE., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301, employees who worked with hazardous chemicals were not effectively trained and informed, as evidenced, among other conditions, by employees' lack of knowledge of the availability and location of Safety Data Sheets and of the hazards presented by the chemicals used, including, but not limited to, a corrosive WunderFixx (with a pH of 11-12 when wet) containing crystalline (quartz) silica and Portland cement, and SikaEmaco 425 gel patch containing crystalline (quartz) silica and Portland cement.
