29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1):The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.   On or about January 9, 2026, employees on the west front and back of the house were doing framing work and were exposed to eye injuries by not wearing eye protection while using a pneumatic nail gun and Makita circular saw.

29 CFR  1926.304(d):Portable, power-driven circular saw(s) were not equipped with a guard above and below the base plate or shoe:   On or about January 9, 2026, Employees on the west middle of the house were were using a Makita circular saws with  an unguarded blade, the guard was pinned back with a piece of wood.

29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1):Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:  On or about January 9, 2026,  employees  on the west front  of the house were were accessing a two story house and did not have a ladders that extended 3 feet about the upper level.
