29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords were not connected to devices and fittings so that tension would not be transmitted to joints or terminal screws: a) Fabrication: On January 15, 2026, employees operated a Miller XMT 350 in which the cable jacket had separated from the strain relief fitting, exposing the conductors. b) Paint Booth: On January 15, 2026, employees use a box fan where the outer jacket had separated from the strain relief, exposing conductors. Note: Abatement certification is required for this item.
