29 CFR  1910.37(a)(3): Exit routes must be free and unobstructed. No materials or equipment may be placed, either permanently or temporarily, within the exit route. The exit access must not go through a room that can be locked, such as a bathroom, to reach an exit or exit discharge, nor may it lead into a dead-end corridor. Stairs or a ramp must be provided where the exit route is not substantially level.  a) On or about January 14, 2026, the employer failed to ensure the exit near the security turnstile was clear and free from hazards. A flexible extension cord was crossing the exit route to power the server trailer, exposing employees to tripping hazards in the event of an emergency.

29 CFR  1910.305(a)(2)(x): Flexible cords and cables shall be protected from accidental damage, as might be caused, for example, by sharp corners, projections, and doorways or other pinch points.  a) On or about January 14, 2026 the employer failed to ensure a flexible extension cable powering the server trailer was protected from accidental damage, thereby exposing employees to shock hazards. The cable ran through the pinch point of the door and was susceptible to damage.  b) On or about January 14, 2026 the employer failed to ensure a flexible extension cable powering the security station metal detector was protected from accidental damage, thereby exposing employees to shock hazards. The cable ran through the pinch point of the door and was susceptible to damage.
