29 CFR 1926.416(a)(1):No employer shall permit an employee to work in such proximity to any part of an electric power circuit that the employee could contact the electric power circuit in the course of work, unless the employee is protected against electric shock by deenergizing the circuit and grounding it or by guarding it effectively by insulation or other means.    a) 29 Front Street, Wyoming, DE, 19934 (roof) On or about 1/15/2026 - Employees were exposed to electrical shock hazards when the air compressor looped around the service drop of the residence. This could potentially create a shock hazard when employees were required to untangle the lines from the service drop.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): When portable ladders are used for access to an upper landing surface, the ladder side rails shall extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder is used to gain access; or, when such an extension is not possible because of the ladder's length, then the ladder shall be secured at its top to a rigid support that will not deflect, and a grasping device, such as a grabrail, shall be provided to assist employees in mounting and dismounting the ladder. In no case shall the extension be such that ladder deflection under a load would, by itself, cause the ladder to slip off its support.    a) On 1/15/2026 at 29 Front Street, Wyoming, De - Employees were exposed to fall hazards when the employer failed to ensure that a minimum of three ladder rungs were above the upper landing surface.  Employees utilized the ladder with one rung above the roof line exposing employees to falls.

The Top Man Roofing, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(11), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1760309, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 1-29-2025, with respect to a workplace located at 4744 Summit Bridge Rd. Middletown, DE 19709: (Roof).
