29 CFR  1926.21(b)(2): The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his/her environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury:  a. Employer did not instruct workers on the need to an evacuate the work area when an emergency alarm such as one for carbon monoxide, was alerting.     a. Employer did not instruct  subcontractors  on site emergency procedures including recognizing the installed emergency alerting systems including the alerts for excessive levels of carbon monoxide, the need to evacuate in the event of an alarm alerting, and need to call emergency services.    Residential Jobsite: On 1-27-26, workers were exposed to excess levels of carbon monoxide while they  were working inside a  residential home. Employees remained inside while alarms were alerting.  Emergency medical services were not called immediately after an employees reported feeling seriously ill.   One worker was exposed to an average carbon monoxide level of 1437 ppm and a second worker was exposed to 1661 ppm during the approximate hour that they were working inside a residential home site.  Exposure  came from a propane home heating system exhausting carbon monoxide into the workspace. The exposure levels were calculated based on the % carboxyhemoglobin (COHb) level in the workers blood.
