29 CFR 1926.451(b)(7):On scaffolds where platforms were overlapped to create a long platform, the overlap did not occur only over supports, and/or was less than 12 inches (30 cm) when the platforms were not nailed together or otherwise restrained to prevent movement.  a) New residential construction located at 50 Rocaway Drive South, Dawsonville, GA 30534, Side of Structure: On or about February 5, 2026, employees were observed working from a scaffold platform that was improperly constructed. The platform was secured using a red and black ratchet strap, and the planking was not spaced at least 12 inches apart, creating an unstable and non-compliant working surface. Employees using this scaffold as a work platform were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 13 feet, 7 inches to the lower ground level.
