29 CFR 1926.701(b): All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and into which employees could fall, was not guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement: Site: 111 Observer Highway, Hoboken, NJ 07030. a) On or about February 12, 2026, employees of Consigli Construction Co., Inc. performing site walkthroughs on a 14-story commercial building were observed to be exposed to unguarded, protruding vertical reinforced steel rebars extending between 6 and 18 inches above the ground. This hazard exposed employees to impalement injuries.
