29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a. ?On or?about February 10, 2026,?in the?warehouse area,?employees were?required to?operate the? Piranha 2- P50 Ironworker machine on?a daily?basis. The?employer failed?to provide?adequate guarding?for the? bending section of the ironworker. Employees?were thereby?exposed to?the hazards?associated with?unguarded points?of operation?during the?operating cycles. b. ?On or?about February 10, 2026,?in the?warehouse area,?employees were?required to?operate the? Piranha 1- P110 Ironworker machine on?a daily?basis. The?employer failed?to provide?adequate guarding?for the? punch press section of the ironworker. Employees?were thereby?exposed to?the hazards?associated with?unguarded points?of operation?during the?operating cycles. c. ?On or?about February 10, 2026,?in the?warehouse area,?employees were?required to?operate the? Cosen Band Saw machine on?a daily?basis. The?employer failed?to provide?adequate guarding?for the? machine while employees are making adjustments to material during production. Employees?were thereby?exposed to?the hazards?associated with?unguarded points?of operation?during the?operating cycles.
