29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1):Types of guarding. One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices, electronic safety devices, etc.  Employees were exposed to struck-by hazards.  Employees engaged in fabrication activities using the Jet Drill Press were exposed to struck-by hazards in that machine guarding was not provided.

29 CFR  1910.215(a)(4): Grinding machinery was not used with work rest(s) to support offhand grinding work:  Employees were exposed to caught-in hazards.  Employees engaged in fabrication activities using the Duracraft Industrial Machine Model 50-6R Bench Grinder in the Slides shop area were exposed to caught-in hazards in that the work rest opening was not maintained at a maximum of one-eight inch.  The work rest was not attached to the grinder.

29 CFR  1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met:  The company has provided a template of the Hazard Communication program, however the program does not identify employee training processes, any Safety Data Sheet (SDS) identification training, no pictogram training,  and does not identify any location of the SDS books for employee to identify specific chemical hazards and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for any of the potential hazards that would be identified.
