29 CFR  1926.502(d)(16): Personal fall arrest systems, when stopping a fall, shall be rigged such that an employee can neither free fall more than 6 feet (1.8 m), nor contact any lower level:   a- 1606 Justin Drive, West Windsor NJ:   A worker securing newly installed floor trusses, and performing other related activites, was exposed to fall hazards (in excess of 11 feet 5 inches to the concrete flooring below) when their full body harness was connected to a self retracting life line whose housing was anchored with a nylon strap wrapped around an unrated wooden 2 x 4 that was nailed into the upper chord of  three wooden floor trusses.  Condition observed on or about 02/18/26.  b - 1606 Justin Drive, West Windsor NJ:  A worker securing newly installed floor trusses, and performing other related activites, was exposed to fall hazards (in excess of 11 feet 5 inches to the concrete flooring below) when they were not using their self retracting lifeline unit as designed and designated by its manufacturer's operating requirements. The housing for their self retracting lifeline was set below the worker and set horizontally (not above) in excess of 12 feet from where this worker was working.  Condition observed on or about 02/18/26.
