29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation:  (a) On or about February 25, 2026, in the interior of the new residential home; employee(s) operated pneumatic nail guns without utilizing eye or face protection while performing framing activities. 29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m)  or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b), nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502:   (a) On or about February 25, 2026, on the 6/12 pitch roof; employee(s) used hand held hammers to install felt on top of a new single family residential home roof without utilizing an adequate fall protection system.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR  1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:  (a) On or about February 25, 2026, on the 6/12 pitch roof; employee(s) used hand held hammers to install felt on top of a new single family residential home roof were not trained to recognize and minimize fall hazards when working at heights greater than 6 feet from the ground below in residential construction.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
