29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about March 4, 2026, the employer failed to ensure that workers performing framing operations on a 4-story apartment building located at 4225 Carson Dr., Johnstown, CO, were protected from a fall of approximately 30 feet by conventional fall protection (e.g.: lanyard with harness, anchor points, etc.) or other safety devices.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards: 4225 Carson Dr., Johnstown, Colorado, 80534: On or about March 4, 2026, employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 30 feet to the asphalt parking lot below while conducting framing operations on a flat ledge. The employer did not provide training on items such as, but not limited to; nature of fall hazards in the work area; use and operation of guardrail systems, personal fall arrest systems, safety net systems, warning line systems, safety monitoring systems, controlled access zones, and other protection to be used; and/or limitations on the use of mechanical equipment during the performance of framing work.
