This potentially exposed employees to inhalation hazards created by metal dust and over spraying.

29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.: a) On or about March 5, 2026, employees using pneumatic airlines when cleaning off equipment in the protech area were exposed to hazards created from high pressured air. The employer failed to ensure that the airline which was set at 100 PSI, was equipped with a safety nozzle designed to reduce pressure. Employees, and other workers in the immediate area, were potentially exposed to struck-by hazards from flying debris, hearing damage from loud noise and/or air embolisms.
