OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to excessive cooking fumes.   a) Brown University Sharpe Refectory Dining Hall: On or about March 9, 2026, and times prior, employees working at or around gas-fired grill stations were exposed to cooking fumes and combustion byproducts, including smoke and grease-laden vapors from the exhaust hood ventilation system and rooftop exhaust discharge components not being maintained and failing to adequately capture and remove contaminates generated during cooking operations.
