29 CFR 1926.1433(d)(4)(iii): The latch did not close the throat opening and was not designed to retain slings or other lifting devices/accessories in the hook when the rigging apparatus is slack. On or about March 18, 2026, on the southwest side of the project, the employer did not ensure that the National Crane (Model:1800/ S/N: 293321) hoisting hook latch closed the throat opening while flying joists.
