On or about March 23, 2026, at the above addressed jobsite, employees using a pneumatic nail gun did not wear safety glasses, thereby exposing the employees to the hazards associated with eye injuries.

29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees were not protected by protective helmets while working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns:  a. On or about March 23, 2026, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee working on the lower roof, below roofing activities, was not wearing a hardhat to protect against falling materials and debris.  Daniel Torres was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.100(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1744748, citation number 1, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on July 12, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 731 59th St., Downers Grove, IL 60516.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b):  a. On or about March 23, 2026, at the above addressed jobsite, employees engaged in roofing activities were not protected from fall hazards while working at an elevation of approximately seventeen (17) feet ten (10) inches, above the ground, thereby exposing employees to fall hazards.  b. On or about March 23, 2026, at the above addressed jobsite, employees engaged in roofing activities were not protected from fall hazards while working at an elevation of approximately eight (8) feet three (3) inches, above the ground, thereby exposing employees to fall hazards.  Daniel Torres was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1744748, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on July 12, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 731 59th St., Downers Grove, IL 60516.
