29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) On or about April 1, 2026, on the roof of the commercial structure, employee(s) worked without adequate fall protection while performing lightning protection operations at heights greater than six (6) feet above the ground. The employer, Bonded Lightning Protection Systems, Ltd, was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1695432, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on November 15, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 4301 St. Charles Ave, New Orleans, LA 70115.
