The following requirements apply to the use of all ladders, including job-made ladders, except as otherwise indicated: Ladders shall be used only for the purpose for which they were designed. a) On or about April 27, 2026, the employer did not ensure that the A frame ladder was being used for the purpose for which it was designed, in that a folded up Werner A frame ladder was being utilized to perform framing work exposing employees to fall hazards.
