Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees entering a building structure, were exposed to the hazard of being struck by falling debris ad building materials: a) Southwest Side of the Ground Floor, 10/7/85 Among other methods, one feasible and useful means of abatement would be to erect a scaffold type structure over the entrance way, equipped with 2" planks to protect the employees entering the building, 10/7/85
