Section 5 (a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to hazards resulting from changing dies on Denison Multipress Hydraulic Press: a) Press Room - the die on the Denison Multipress Hydraulic Press, Number 6, Serial Number 24702, was changed with the motor on and the press in the unblocked position. Changing dies under these conditions could result in finger or hand amputation. Observed 2/25/87. b) Press Room - the die on the Denison Multipress Hydraulic Press, Serial Number 25525, was changed with the motor on and in the unblocked position.
