Employee with COVID-19 infection dies
Investigation abstract
An employee was working as a packaging apprentice at a brewery. The employee went to get tested after a coworker informed him that he tested positive recently. The employee tested positive for COVID-19 on August 8, 2021. On August 18, 2021, the employee was hospitalized with complications from COVID-19. At approximately 3:00 p.m. on August 26, 2021, the employee died. Information regarding engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 are not included in the narrative, but the fatality was not determined to be OSHA covered.
