Employee with COVID-19 infection dies
Investigation abstract
An employee, an registered nurse, was working in and around COVID-19 positive residents in a nursing home during a 12-hour shift prior to developing COVID-19 symptoms. The employee testing positive for COVID-19 on August 12, 2021, and was hospitalized on August 14, 2021. The employee was intubated on August 16, 2021 and died from complications of COVID-19 at 10:00 a.m. on August 27, 2021.
