Investigation abstract
An employee was working as a border patrol agent and was regularly processing detainees with unknown COVID-19 infection status. The employee tested positive for COVID-19 on August 23, 2021, and was hospitalized on August 30, 2021. The employee died due to COVID-19 complications at 5:45 p.m. on September 27, 2021.
